Outreach

The Grand Bay NERR Outreach staff have developed several priorities or focus areas that address communicating Grand Bay science to audiences.

The reserve staff work in an integrated manner to support, plan, and deliver effective, place-based educational programs and partnerships. Outreach staff’s main priority issue is to create a science-informed community. This goal is addressed by our various activities that translate and communicate reserve science to the public, expanding reserve training and outreach efforts to targeted audiences and broaden reach into our local coastal communities. Programs are created that highlight research and monitoring sector activity, and promote stewardship education to conserve, restore, and protect natural and cultural resources.

Our Outreach staff consists of people working in the Coastal Training Program sector and the Education sector. Check out all the work our Outreach staff is doing below!
