Grand Bay Wildlife Refuge Proposing Expansion
June 21st, 2011 | Category: NewsThe U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is proposing an expansion of the Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge in MS and AL, totaling 8,166 acres. As a primary partner with the NERR, this expansion will serve to provide additional buffer lands to our core reserve lands and waters. The Service is seeking public comment for inclusion into an Environmental Assessment and Land Protection Plan for the proposed area. A public meeting will be held at the Grand Bay Senior and Community Center, 11610 Hwy 90, Grand Bay, AL on June 28 and 29 from 6-8:00 PM.
