SUMMARY:Batik Art Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Invasive and non-native species occur in natural spaces due to transport by the environment\, animals\, or humans. Through batik art\, we’ll take a look at how non-native species occur either in competition or in harmony with native species. The instructor for this batiking workshop is Grand Bay NERR’s Director\, Dr. Ayesha Gray\, ecologist and artist. We invite any and all skill levels to attend and create Reserve-inspired batik art. This workshop will include exploring various Reserve habitats and close nature observations\, where we’ll look for our art inspiration and create masterpieces.
