Environmental Awareness Expert Presents Workshop

Eric Eckl of Water Words that Work L.L.C. recently presented Coastal Training Program workshops at the Coastal Research and Extension Center to help improve environmental communications to 40 resource professionals.  The class focused on environmental messaging to transform technical, professional language into action language that will help make your message resonate with less technical audiences.  A four step process to develop your message was shared -from learning to understand your audience to using words and developing products that get your message across to your audience.  Time was also spent learning how to market your message through various types of media.  The two day class participants included scientists, educators and communication specialists.  To learn more about water Words that Work see their website at: http://waterwordsthatwork.com/
