Do you ever ask yourself, “How do I best design my project to effectively reach its goals?” or “Will my project meet the needs of my constituents?” NOAA Coastal Services Center, Mississippi Coastal Plain RC&D, Grand Bay NERR and Weeks Bay NERR announce a training opportunity for coastal resource, program and project managers to help you answer those questions.

On October 5 & 6, 2010 at Grand Bay NERR, plan to attend the Program Design and Evaluation Workshop. Registration fee for the course is $15.00. Course materials and lunches will be provided.

To build on this introduction to evaluation, mark your calendar for Planning for Meaningful Evaluation Workshop in March 2011. The course addresses in detail the increasing demand for evidence of program accountability and impact by preparing participants for a meaningful evaluation. The purpose of the training is to provide an in depth understanding of the elements of evaluation, so that participants are able to make informed choices to create fundamentally sound evaluation plans for existing or longstanding programs.
