Wondering how you can learn about coastal Mississippi and give back at the same time? Volunteer with us!

Volunteers at the Grand Bay NERR have unique opportunities to engage and learn about the Reserve. The Grand Bay NERR works to match the interest of each volunteer with opportunities of service the Reserve has to offer. Whether you are interested in education, stewardship, research or administrative volunteering, there is something here for everyone.

Here are some examples of current volunteer projects:

  • Plant photography and photo mapping
  • Fish sorting, sampling and measuring
  • Construction of a new Native Plant Butterfly Garden
  • Event and visitor center staffing
  • Invasive species control
