GRAND BAY NERR – Moss Point, MS

Whether you’re interested in residential, commercial, or institutional applications, innovative stormwater management practices must begin with the rooftop and yard.
This workshop will begin with a webcast hosted by the Center for Watershed Protection that will review various disconnection techniques:
simple downspout disconnection, small-scale infiltration and bioretention, compost-amended soils, and rainwater harvesting.
Case studies covering several interesting approaches for inspecting and maintaining these types of distributed practices will be presented.
The webcast will be followed by a discussion of rainwater manage- ment and harvesting practices at the Grand Bay NERR’s Coastal Resources Center (a Gold LEED Certified facility).
Space is VERY Limited so register ASAP!
Come visit us at the Grand Bay NERR and learn about Stormwater Management, meet other Environmental Professionals working on the MS Coast, and have lunch on us!
