Sightings for the month of March 2014

We haven’t posted sightings for a while due to revamping the website, but we’ve still been keeping track! Here’s what was notable in March:

13^th – Bottlenose Dolphins (Tursiops truncatus)

17^th – Wild Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo)

18^th – Yellow Butterworts (Pinguicula lutea) budding

20^th – Yellow Butterworts (Pinguicula lutea)  blooming

21^st – American Alligator (Alligator mississippiensis)

24^th – Common Loon (Gavia immer), Horned Grebe (Podiceps auritus), Black-Bellied Plover (Pluvialis squatarola), Willet (Tringa semipalmata), Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias), Tricolored Heron (Egretta tricolor), Double-crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus), Brown Pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis)

28^th – Fox Squirrel (Sciurus niger)

31^st – Wild Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo)
