Partners

The Reserve has been built over the years, depending upon strong and enduring partnerships.

The principle programmatic partnership for the Reserve exists between the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  Operationally, the Reserve and the Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge are linked through our place on the landscape, with overlapping boundaries and stewardship objectives.  The original Reserve Management Board includes membership from the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Mississippi Secretary of State, Mississippi State University, University of Southern Mississippi, The Nature Conservancy and a Citizen’s Advisory Committee.  Research and education efforts at the Reserve are frequently carried out in collaborations with  various University, local, state and federal partners.
